Gamers, get ready to show off your skills and win AWESOME prizes – Comikaze Expo at the LA Convention Center, November 5-6, is bringing you a multitude of gaming tournaments. We’ve got something for every type of gamer: Magic: The Gathering, Super Nintendo, Yu-Gi-Oh, Warhammer 40k, Atari, and more! For console gamers, Comikaze’s own gamer girl, Lisa Foiles (All That, Kotaku.com), hosts The Old School Nintendo Jam, where you can compete in rounds of Mario Kart, Super Mario Brothers 3, and Super Mario World for Comikaze Grabbags filled with over $200 in prizes, as well as merchandise from The Devastator Magazine. For TCG players, Comikaze is holding some of the largest tabletop tournaments on the entire West Coast, and feature over $2,000 in prizes! Choose your battle:

We’ll not only be holding Magic: The Gathering drafts, but some of your favorite MTG artists will be hanging out to say hi and answer questions selling artwork and signing cards. Even better? We’re giving you the chance to “Beat A Unicorn” at Magic: The Gathering. Win awesome prizes from the hottest nerds on the net: Team Unicorn! The girls will be facing challengers and giving out boost boxes randomly during rounds. Comikaze Expo loves Team Unicorn so much, they’ve teamed up to create the ultimate female MTG team, touring the globe and walking the plains – and the expo is your first chance to show ‘em some competition, before Comikaze Expo sends ‘em out on tour!
Comikaze is giving Yu-Gi-Oh fans the chance to meet Former USA Yu-Gi-Oh Champion and Pro Duelist, Adam Corn. Adam will be decksling at Comikaze’s HUGE Yu-Gi-Oh tournament. (Don’t worry, he won’t be competing against you.) More of a console gamer? Come beat Jace Hall of The Jace Hall Show at Kaboom! in an Atari tournament to win bragging rights and take home a beloved game system.
Plus, hold on to your robots and earth disguises: Jhonen Vasquez, creator of Invader Zim, will be invading Comikaze this year! Don’t miss this one-time-only chance to chat with the genius behind Zim, Dib, Gaz, and of course, GIR.
